Fin’s is the brainchild of London girl Alexandra Finlay. The brand was born from a desire to provide her boy friends with a classic summer loafer that fell between Bond Street and the High Street. The result has been a collection of footwear and accessories that stays true to Finlay’s mantra of “Simple, Classic, Affordable and Fuss-Free”.
Fin's launched in 2008, and has quickly gained cult status with a loyal following across the globe. All the suede moccasins are hand-stitched in a family-run factory in Portugal, and all the accessories are made in Italy. Whilst the Fin's brand has become synonymous with summer holidays, Fin launched a range of "Shoedrobe Staples": year-round affordable essentials such as Black Tie Slippers and Office Oxfords.
"I try to keep my design philosophy as uncomplicated as possible. I try and picture what my customer is wearing when he's not wearing his Fin's and offer him a classic and stylish alternative that falls within an accessible price range. In terms of where the brand can grow from here, the possibilities are endless: watch this space!"
When she’s not designing shoes, sourcing the most eye-popping suede shades, or selling her wares to handsome boys, Fin can be found doing a dance routine for Sally and the Finterns, or in the hairdresser getting a blow dry. Her favourite Fin's moments to date include joining the Fellowship of Pattenmakers in the City of London, and being selected as a Woman of Achievement at the Women of the Year Awards, as well as becoming close personal friends with The Hoff.
